Butterfly Mania for SUOC #70
This week for the Stampin' Up! Only Challenge Blog we are featuring butterfly mania! The challenge is to create a card using the butterfly as your main theme.
SUOC #70 – Butterfly Mania
Here is my card featuring the Butterfly Mania theme for this challenge with Stampin' Up! Only Challenges. I started with a base of Very Vanilla then I used Raspberry Ribble to stamp the background from the Everything Eleanor stamp set. The second element I stamped using Primrow Petals which I cut out using the Apothocary Framelits. For the butterfly, I used the Beautiful Butterfly die with Rasberry Ripple card stock then embossed using the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder finalizing the butterfly by adding an embellishment of Pearl Jewels. The sentiment is from the Loving Thoughts Stamp Set.

PCCCS #38 Card Sketch: Cuddles & Kisses
Here we are with another installment of the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #38 featuring the Cuddles & Kisses Stamp Set. As an adoptive mom, I just love this stamp set. It comes close to my heart and means so much.
Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #38
Cuddles & Kisses
While looking through my stamp sets and trying to decide how I wanted to start with this card using the card sketch I was immediately drawn to the Cuddles & Kisses Stamp Set along with Baja Breeze. I'm sad to see that Baja Breeze is retiring especially as I love the tone of Baja Breeze next to Very Vanilla cardstock.
The base of the card starts with the Baja Breeze card stock layered with Very Vanilla card stock embossed using the Honeycomb Embossing Folder which I spritzed with Baja Breeze using the Color Spritzer Tool. Then I stamped the adoption sentiment with the Baja Breeze onto Very Vanilla card stock and used the Labels Collection Framelit to cut out the sentiment which was layered on a piece of Baja Breeze cardstock also cut out using the Labels Collection Framelit. To accent the Baja Breeze Labels background, I used the Festive Paper-Piercing Pack with the Paper Piercing tool to create texture.
One of my favorite parts of this card is the embellishment I created using the That's the Ticket Stamp Set "precious baby" stamp which was stamped twice and then punched out using the Ticket Punch. I then stacked and used the whale shaped Elements Cute Clips (one of my favorites!!!) then attached it to the card. Finally, I used the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits L for the final background element with Very Vanilla card stock.
So, I hope you enjoy this card as I know I'll be holding it close to my heart especially as my husband and I wait for a placement on Adoption #2.

PCCCS #32 – Best of Birthdays
Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me!
Yes, today is my Birthday! And, I just love the Best of Birthdays stamp set.
For this weeks Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch I challenge the Design Team to create Birthday Themed cards using the card sketch. I have to say that I just love all the birthday cards. I've also had fun the past few days creating Birthday Themed cards.
S
o, in honor of my Birthday, here is my design team submission for this weeks Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch featuring the Best of Birthdays stamp set!
The Happy Birthday Card is very cheery and fun with bright colors. The card base is Whisper White with a layer of Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper then I created a doily using the Daffodil Delight with the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits L which is layered under a strip of Pumpkin Pie Card Stock. The stamped image is from the Best of Birthdays Stamp Set stamped on whisper white. I used the Stampin' Marker to color the image with Pumpkin Pie for the words and flames while the candles and cake were colored with Real Red. Then I cut out the image and Real Red background layer using the NEW Oval Framelits. The flower was created using the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch with an Antique Brad in the center. The flag is Whisper White cut out using the Hearts a Flutter Framelit and embossed using the Polka Dot embossing folder. The colors really are fun, bright and bold!

SUOC #65 – Go Green
St. Patrick Day Card
The card starts with a Whisper White
card base then I created another layer using the Whisper White Card Stock embossed using the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I used Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper with the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder running it through my Big Shot several times until it "ripped" the paper. I then cut out the individual Honeycombs and created a design on the Whisper White card stock with the Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper. Next, I stamped little shamrocks using the Lucky Limeade classic ink in the Honeycomb design using the Itty BItties Stamp Set from the 2013 Spring Catalog. The sentiment I used is from the Occasions Alphabet Stamp Set which I punched out using the Large Oval Punch and then punched a boarder from the Lucky Limeade card stock using the Scallop Oval Punch. As a final touch on the card, I attached a piece of Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon to the card then tied a bow.

SUOC #60 – Glitter Galore Card
We have a fun challenge starting today with the Stampin' Up! Only Challenge Blog… The them for Challenge # 60 is Glitter Galore. Oh, how much fun we will have as we shimmer and shine for the Holidays.
Glitter Galore Card on SU! Only Challenges
Glitter Galore Card
I love this Glittery card with just the right amount of shimmer and shine! The base is Whisper White with the background Night of Navy embossed with the Petals A Plenty Embossing Folder. Then I used the Silver Glitter Paper cut out with the Apothecary Accent Framelit then I created an ornament stamped with Night of Navy. I then RESTAMPED the image using the Illuminate Pad and stamped it slightly off center to create a "shadow" effect which is better seen in person. I really love the simple elegance of this card!
To finish the card, I tied a fun bow using the Crumb Cake Scalloped Tulle Ribbon. The stamped sentiment is from one of my favorite stamp sets, Tiny Tags and I used my one of my absolute favorite punches… the Jewelry Tag punch!
Don't forget to visit SU! Only Challenge Blog for additional inspiration for the Design Team Members. Click HERE to see their creations.
So, what do you think? I've fallen in love with the Scalloped Tulle Ribbon and love dressing up my cards and look forward to using it on Christmas Gifts as well this year.

PCCCS 16 – Christmas Elegance Card
Welcome to this weeks Card Sketch with the Paper Craft Crew as I feature a Christmas Elegance Card! I just love getting into the crafting spirit as Thanksgiving and Christmas get closer and this week I enjoyed creating some beautiful Christmas Cards. Here is my rendition of the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #16
Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #16
Christmas Elegance Card
Here is the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch 16 (PCCCS016):
I will be the first to admit that I wasn't 100% on board with this sketch and not certain how the "random" circle elements would fit into a card but as I started playing, I found inspiration and created a beautiful Christmas Elegance Card. The main feature on my card is the Ornament which I cut out using the Ornament Framelit then I embossed the ornament using the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder. I also embossed the background using the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder. Next, I layered Old Olive under a strip of Cherry Cobbler for the added "Christmas" colors. The scalloped edge is created using the Finishing Touches Edgelits die. The stamp set I used on this card is the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set from the Holiday Catalog. I used a sentiment from the Tiny Tags stamp set which I punched out with the Jewelry Tag punch. The pearls worked great and pulled the design into play as the "random" circle elements – I actually love how the pearls have an added elegance to the card. My bow to "anchor" the ornament is the Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Tulle Ribbon.
So, what do you think? I've fallen in love with the Scalloped Tulle Ribbon and love dressing up my cards and look forward to using it on Christmas Gifts as well this year.

MOJO261 – Perfectly Preserved
Mojo Monday 261 – Perfectly Preserved
This card was created using this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch (MOJO261) featuring the Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set with the Cannery Framelit Dies.
Serving Perfectly Preserved Pears
The card size is 5×5 square with the card base being Very Vanilla layered with Early Espresso and Pool Party. The circle background is cut out using the 3 1/2" Circle Bigz Die then embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. I then used the new Paper Piercing tool to create an outer circle. The stripe is from the Brights Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack and the Polka Dot flag is from teh Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack.
From the Perfectly Preserved stamp set, I stamped the jar, cover and pears. The Jar and cover were cut out using the Cannery Framelit set. I also wrapped linen thread around the cover and tied a tag onto the cover to finish the card. The tag is created using the Jewelry Tag punch and the sentiment is from the Tiny Tags stamp set.

SUOC 54: Halloween Kid Fun
Halloween Kid Fun Pinwheel
I had a really fun time creating this Halloween Kid Fun Pinwheel project! I'm still in Minnesota until tomorrow and had the opportunity to visit with another design team member, Deb Hoekstra. We had so much fun working on our projects together! You could see the wheels a churning as we worked on our projects. Originally, I had thoughts on using some non-traditional colors for a Halloween project but as the design process progressed, I really found myself leaning towards this fun project and using the Pinwheel which is so fun for kids.
The base of the project is created using the Milk Carton Die and the Gumball Green wrap is embossed with the new wood grain embossing folder. The pinwheel is created with the Halloween Hounds Tooth DSP which is a lot of fun and has some very neutral patterns that can be used for other projects other than Halloween. The pinwheel was attached to a popsicle stick.

SQSC 46 – Celebrating the 4th of July
God Bless America as we celebrate the 4th of July! I pray that you remember all of our troops overseas and enjoy my patriotic submission for this weeks Stampin' Queens Sketch Challenge. For this weeks challenge, the focus was to do either a Canada Day (July 1st) or 4th of July Card. Since I'm in the U.S.A. and getting excited for the Olympics, of course, I had to create a "U.S.A." card to celebrate the birth of our nation!
Stampin' Queen's Sketch Challenge 46
Celebrating the 4th of July!
Happy 4th of July and Happy Belated Canada Day! I'm very proud and feel blessed to be from the U.S.A. Now, I don't always agree with the political state of our Country or necessarily care for one president or another but I am thankful that I can live in a FREE country where I can freely choose to live a Christian life without persecution and the fear of being killed. I really have a lot to be thankful for especially our forefathers that sought to fight for that freedom! I also have to be thankful for our current military for upholding and continuing to fight for our FREEDOM!
So, let FREEDOM RING! Enjoy your 4th of July and stay safe but also remember those that are serving on our behalf fighting for that FREEDOM… In honor of the 4th of July, I've created this fun and patriotic card!

I started with a base of Shimmery White Card Stock (101910) then used Cherry Cobbler Card Stock which I embossed using the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Next, I used the Night of Navy Designer Series Paper Stacks with the Polka Dots. You'll see that I cut these at an angle. Using the postage stamp punch I punched out three squares from the Cherry Cobbler Card Stock. Then I stamped "U. S. A." on the Shimmery White Card Stock using the Night of Navy Ink and Morning Post Alphabet Stamp Set. These were placed in a diagonal over the white strip separating the Red and Blue. The final touch was a small piece of 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon with a strip of Shimmery White stamped with the "Celebrate" from Happy You Hostess Stamp Set.
This is a fun sketch from the Stampin' Queen's Sketch Challenge. New stampers can easily find inspiration and get started with this sketch while advanced stampers can find a challenge by bringing this sketch up a notch with layers and embellishments.

SQSC #43 – Blue Ribbon Happy Birthday
The Blue Ribbon Stamp Set from the new 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Catalog is one of my absolute new favorites! It is such a fun set and perfect for creating masculine cards as well as kids cards and with a little creativity can easily create a fun, feminine card as well. For this weeks Stampin' Queen's Sketch Challenge, I really felt the Blue Ribbon stamp set was the perfect match.
Stampin' Queen's Sketch Challenge #43
Blue Ribbon Happy Birthday

I started the base of the card with More Mustard Card Stock then layered Cherry Cobbler Card Stock which was cut using the Large Scallop Edgelits then embossed using the Delicate Designs Folder. Next, a layer of World Spectacular Designer Series Paper was placed on the card with the Denim Ribbon. The Blue Ribbon stamped image is stamped with Midnight Muse then the scallop circle is punched out using the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle and then I cut out the "ribbon" portion of the stamp set and attached it to the punched scallop circle image. The 3 More Mustard brads were added embellishments to finish the design details of the card along with "dad" stamped on the Cherry Cobbler just above the Denim Ribbon.
