I have a great card for you today featuring the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set.  I was inspired by the Can You Case It #57 challenge this week.  The challenge required no more than 2 layers plus the card base and at least one embellishment that you could make in 10 MINUTES OR LESS!  The Sheltering Tree stamp set really is perfect for this type of challenge.

Handmade Card featuring the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set created by Pam Staples, Sunnygirlscraps. #stampinup #shelteringtree #pamstaplesWow… I just love the Sheltering Tree Stamp set from the 2015 Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog.  This is such a great photopolymer stamp set with some very cute accessories to accent the tree.  To stick with the rules of the challenge, I used a Whisper White Card Base.  The card front layer consists of a Blushing Bride with a Whisper White top layer.  Both layers are distressed using Stampin' Distress Tool.

While at Stampin' Up! Leadership, I learned a really cool new technique using the Photopolymer Stamps.  You can actually take the stamp and flip it over on your acrylic block and stamp with the back side of the block which is what I did to create the lighter green background using Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink.  I then flipped the same stamp over (after cleaning it) and stamped the "leaf" image using Old Olive Classic Ink.  The tree trunk is stamped over the tree canopy with Early Espresso Classic Ink.  The swing was also added to the tree using basic black.  For grass, I used another stamp from the set with the Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink.

The final touches needed on the card was a little embellishment – not much because I didn't want to take away from the tree.  I love the Metallic Buttons so added one to the card with a Linen Thread bow.  It really is the perfect touch – not too much – just right for the feel I was looking for on this card.  Of course, I just needed to finish the card with a sentiment.

Hey… I just realized I only used ONE Stamp Set on this card!  Yep, the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set is a keeper and MUST HAVE stamp set.  If you don't have it – get it!  AND… This card took under 10 minutes to make!
