Follow My Heart Valentine Card
I absolutely LOVE this weeks Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch. As I was playing with the sketch, I just knew I wanted to use the Core'dinations Cardstock with the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper. This card was so much fun to make – WooHoo, I really felt like I was in the "zone" as I was making this card. I'm hoping my husband will choose to give this card to me as my "Valentine" card – yes, I have my husband choose from my "card store" for any of his card giving needs.
The card base is Very Vanilla. I went with a square, 5 x 5 card. Next, I created a layer using the Cherry Cobbler Core'dinations Cardstock using the Stripes Embossing Folder on 1/2 of the cardstock which I then distressed using the Stampin' Sanding System. The next layer is Basic Black cardstock with Modern Medley Designer Series Paper and the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper is distressed using Crumb Cake Classic Ink, Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink and Soft Suede Classic Ink.
For the key elements and layers, I used the 5/8" Victoria Crochet Trim with a bow tied. Next, I cut a Very Vanilla Heart using the Heart Framelits and distressed with Crumb Cake then I stamped the Eiffel Tower image from the Follow My Heart Stamp Set with Crumb Cake classic ink then stamped the sentiment using Basic Black classic ink. Behind the heart, I layered two little banners that I made from Cherry Cobbler and Basic Gray Cardstock. The elements on the heart include an arrow cut from the On Film Framelits and hearts punched out with the Small Heart punch.
