It is Monday which means the Mojo Monday Blog Challenge has a new Sketch for the week!  When I saw the sketch, I really wasn't certain about the sketch as I wasn't initially inspired but decided to take a look at my stamp sets.  While trying to come up with ideas, the Wood You Be Mine Stamp Set caught my eye.  I honestly didn't know if the sketch would really work with this set but I've been wanting to use the set for a while.  The Wood You Be Mine Stamp Set is SO much fun and ended up being perfect for Mojo Monday 381!

Wood You Be Mine

Mojo Monday 381 Wood You Be Mine card created by Pam Staples. #sunnygirlscraps #stampinup #pamstaples #sunnygirlscraps #mojomondayThe main focal point of the sketch is a circular sketch.  I considered using a different shape but decided to stick with the circle when I discovered I could cut the Lumberjack from the Wood You Be Mine Stamp Set with a Circular Framelit.  I think it is cool how you can layer the "shirt" color over the Lumberjack to get a plaid shirt design.  I used Night of Navy but stamped off some color before stamping the shirt color to give it more of a "worn" Lumberjack appearance.  The pants I colored with the Crumb Cake Blendabilities and for the skin I used the Skin Tone Assortment.  On the Lumberjacks hat I used the Night of Navy Blendabilities.  Did you know that Stampin' Up! is offering Blendabilities FREE?  Purchase $50.00 in product during Sale-A-Bration and you can choose one set of the original Blendabilities! (So cool!!!)

As the card came together, I really wanted to continue with the Night of Navy theme and used the Backgrounds Designer Series Paper Stacks in the Regal Color Family.  Following along with the sketch, I added a strip of Whisper White bordered with the Night of Navy Cardstock and stamped with the "Wood You Be Mine" sentiment.

Here is the Mojo Monday 381 Sketch.  It was fun to play along and I'm thrilled to finally to have used the Wood You Be Mine Stamp Set!
