Today was a wonderful day!  Caleb was back in school after having 3 days off and mommy admits that she was very giddy to be dropping him off for the day especially after we had a rough day on Wednesday – I can only play with Remote Control Dusty for so long!  AND… Try telling a 5 year old that Remote Control Dusty needs a break or his motor will burn out and mommy cannot work her "magic" repairing a burnt out motor (nor can Grandpa work his magic as the resident aircraft mechanic!).  I really did enjoy a quiet, peaceful and productive day.

One of my goals for the day was to create a card using the Card Sketch from the Pals Paper Arts Challenge Blog.  The sketch is a fairly simple sketch but can you believe I had no idea initially what I was going to make!  But as I looked at the sketch, I decided it was the perfect sketch for focusing on a "Sentiment."  Looking over my Stamp Set STASH, I found the perfect stamp set to use and it is….

Pals Paper Arts Card Sketch 237

PPA237 – Bravo

I've had the Bravo Stamp Set hanging out with all the other stamps in my Stamp Set Stash just begging to be used.  Today, my wish was granted.  The card is fun, bright and cheerful; perfect way to say congratulations.  The star on the card is a little extra embellishment not included on the sketch but I really needed a little extra to help offset and highlight the Arrows.

First, to start things off, I actually turned the sketch on it's side! The card base is Whisper White layered with Pacific Point card stock and Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper (did you know the "dots" pattern is on the backside of the MOST gorgeous Designer Series Paper ever!  It was SOOO hard to cut up that paper then use the backside).   The "Congratulations" is stamped on Whisper White using the Pacific Point Classic Ink and attached to a layer of Daffodil Delight.

For the finishing touches and following along with the card sketch, I knew that I would use the little arrows from the Label Card Thinlit set.  When I first applied them to the card I felt something was missing then a light bulb went off and I KNEW it needed a star under one of the arrows.  Next, I added just a little pop of dazzle with the Rhinestone Jewels – I claim creative license on that addition.
