RemARKably Creative Blog Tour

Weather Together Bundle

I’m excited to be sharing two fun projects.  The first project features the Popcorn Box Thinlits paired with the Umbrella Weather Framelits to create a fun Weather Together Bridal Shower Favor!  Couldn’t you just see this at a bridal shower with the umbrella celebrating love?

Next, I feature a handmade Weather Together Card letting someone close to you know that you are there for them to “weather this together.”  While we may be weathering something hard in our lives often there is a good friend ready to stand by our sides.  This is a great friend card to let someone know that you are there by their side ready to help out.

In July, everyone in my family was excited at the news of my cousin, Melissa’s, engagement.  This project is for her.  As I was planning the projects for this Remarkable Creative Blog Tour, I was very excited to use the Weather Together Bundle.

The Popcorn Box Thinlits is so easy to use and a nice size for a quick favor style box.  I used Pink Pirouette floral pattern from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack for the popcorn box.  The tag is created using the Scalloped Tag Topper featuring a small strip of the Pink Pirouette diagonal pattern.  I stamped and cut out the Umbrella which is attached to the tag.  Note that I stamped the tag with little Pink Pirouette hearts!  The hearts are perfect touch for the favor.

All I needed to finish the tag was a sentiment!  What could be more perfect than “love” for a Bridal Shower Favor?  So, yes, I die cut the word “love” using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.

Project #2 – We’ll weather this Together Handmade Card

Sometimes we just need a card to let a friend know that we are there for them! I’ve recently had two friends experience tragedy in their lives with family members being murdered.  I can’t imagine the heartbreak they are going through but I want to let them know that I’m here for them.

Finally, I had an idea to include water puddles which I created by turning the cloud stamp around and stamping with the side normally used to cling to the acrylic block.  Then I took the Fine-Tip Glue Pen and filled the puddles in to make them look “wet.” I also randomly filled in some of the raindrops.  I love the look in person and also how it adds a nice raised feel to the card.
